Memory Lane: Paris – Vintage Sidecar Ride

Back in 2016, my first continental Europe trip kicked off in Paris with a spin on a vintage Ural Retro sidecar from Retro Tour Paris. Rémi, our driver, steered us through the city’s winding streets with flair.

We started in the Latin Quarter, weaving through cobbled lanes full of charm, passing the historic Sorbonne University and lively cafés. Next, we rolled to Île de la Cité, the city’s ancient core, where Notre-Dame Cathedral stands proud. Then we cruised past Saint-Germain’s cosy cafés. Rémi pointed out hidden gems and dropped stories that brought Paris to life.

The highlight? Circling the Arc de Triomphe twice—a thrilling whirl around one of Paris’s most iconic spots. Later, we paused by the Seine riverbank, soaking in the views of the Louvre and the city buzz.

The perfect finale came with champagne by the Eiffel Tower, bubbles sparkling as the sun dipped. After our toast, Rémi took us back to the Latin Quarter, closing a stylish, timeless loop of Parisian magic.
