On our journey between Serbia and Budapest, we stopped at Tanyacsárda for a classic Hungarian Puszta experience. From my first taste of pálinka to watching magnificent Lipizzaner horses thunder across the arena and enjoying a bowl of traditional goulash, it became one of the most memorable stops of the trip.

Belgrade was a rushed late afternoon stop in 2017, but the city centre came alive at night, ending in Skadarlija with a rakija toast and a promise to return.
